I am overjoyed to be a part of the QAS staff, as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction.
I come to QAS after many years of service within the public school setting. My career began as an elementary school teacher where I taught grades Kindergarten through 2nd Grade and served as a literacy coach. Later, I served as a school counselor at the middle school level, and just before joining the QAS team, I served as a reading specialist, curriculum writer and academic coach for all subject areas.
I grew up in the Oakville area and attended St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School and Notre Dame High School. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. Then, I earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Webster University and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Special Reading Certification from Missouri Baptist University.
I believe that a personalized approach to learning is the key to academic success. I look forward to working with the QAS students, staff, and parents to strengthen faith, build character, and enhance academics for all.
