Mrs. Ashelin

Mrs. Ashelin

Hello, my name is Mary Ashelin.   I am so happy and fortunate to be teaching second grade at Queen of All Saints.  I bring several years of prior teaching experience with me.  I've taught fifth and sixth-grade math, first grade, and third grade.  I enjoy being a big part of my students' lives.  I love getting to know them, watching them grow throughout the year, and helping them develop a love for learning.

I have a strong faith in God and prayer that I will be sharing with my students often.  I live my faith and will be a great Catholic role model to my students.  I am so excited to be part of the sacramental year in second grade.  What a blessing that God led me here!!

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and I worked for several years in business development for an engineering firm where I met John, my wonderful husband of 28 years.  I became a stay at home mom when our daughter, Jeannie, was born (now attending Webster University).  We were blessed with one more terrific child, Patrick (now a Senior at Vianney High School).  I developed a love for teaching when they were little and so I went back to school and received my Master’s Degree in Teaching.  I also received my Paul VI Religious Certification to teach religion.

I enjoy spending time with my family and extended family.  I was blessed with five brothers and I am the Godmother to three of my nieces and one nephew.  We get together often for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, sports, games, and whenever we can.

Queen of All Saints has been a very welcoming community to me!  I feel very blessed to be teaching here.  I know that I can make positive contributions to the already amazing faculty and parish.  I have very high expectations for my students and I will always try to motivate them to love to learn and to be the children that Jesus wants them to be.
