Mrs. Ashelin

Mrs. Ashelin

Hello, my name is Mary Ashelin.   I am so happy and fortunate to be teaching second grade at Queen of All Saints.  I bring several years of prior teaching experience with me.  I've taught fifth and sixth-grade math, first grade, and third grade.  I enjoy being a big part of my students' lives.  I love getting to know them, watching them grow throughout the year, and helping them develop a love for learning.

I have a strong faith in God and prayer that I will be sharing with my students often.  I live my faith and will be a great Catholic role model to my students.  I am so excited to be part of the sacramental year in second grade.  What a blessing that God led me here!!

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and I worked for several years in business development for an engineering firm where I met John, my wonderful husband of 29 years.  I became a stay at home mom when our daughter, Jeannie, was born (now attending Webster University).  We were blessed with one more terrific child, Patrick (just graduated from St. John Vianney High School).  I developed a love for teaching when they were little and so I went back to school and received my Master’s Degree in Teaching.  I also received my Paul VI Religious Certification to teach religion.

I enjoy spending time with my family and extended family.  I was blessed with five brothers and I am the Godmother to three of my nieces and one nephew.  We get together often for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, sports, games, and whenever we can.

Queen of All Saints has been a very welcoming community to me!  I feel very blessed to be teaching here.  I know that I can make positive contributions to the already amazing faculty and parish.  I have very high expectations for my students and I will always try to motivate them to love to learn and to be the children that Jesus wants them to be.
