Ms. Shrum

My name is Ms. Kara Shrum and I am a 2nd Grade teacher here at Queen of All Saints School.  2nd Grade is a very special year as we prepare and receive the sacraments of Reconcilliation and First Holy Communion.  It is such a blessing to be able to guide my students academically as well as spiritually in their faith journey!

I feel that each child can succeed in learning and it is my goal to not only teach them the skills required, but help them develop a love of learning along the way.  I am dedicated to guiding my students to achieve success, to help them grow academically, spiritually, and socially, and to make the most of teachable moments.  I am very happy to be a part of Queen of All Saints and truly feel God has called me to be a part of Catholic education.

This will be my sixth year teaching at Queen of All Saints.  I attended Southeast Missouri State University earning a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and am additionally certified in Early Childhood and Language Arts.  I have past experience teaching at St. Patrick's School in Wentzville, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Oakville Elementary, and as a paraprofessional in a special needs self-contained room with Special School District.  I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom for several years as well!

I live here in Oakville and am a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. I have four sons, Michael age 23, Eric, 20, Sean, 17, and Sam, 15.  I spend most of my free time with my family and enjoy golfing, reading, and bike riding!

Please contact me at any time regarding any questions or information you may need on our 2nd grade program at
