Welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Christy Bauche, and I love being a part of the Queen of All Saints community. This is my 12th year teaching at QAS, and my 9th year teaching 3rd grade. This age is special because they are more independent and they are no longer learning to read - they are reading to learn! They dive deeper into more complex concepts in Language Arts and Math, and they grow as innovators, problem solvers, and most importantly children of God.
I grew up in the St. Louis area. My family and I are practicing Catholics, and I attended Catholic grade school and high school. I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 18 years. We have a 15 year old son, Tyler, an 12 year old daughter, Leah, and Max is 5 years old. We love to enjoy the St. Louis attractions such as the zoo, parks, science center, and Magic House. For hobbies, I love being outdoors, gardening, reading, and crafting. I also have a love for animals.
I attended Truman State University for my undergraduate degree (BS) in Animal Science. I worked at the Saint Louis Zoo as a zookeeper for six years. When my son was born, I went back to school and I received my education certification in elementary education through Webster University. Prior to coming to QAS, I worked for Special School District as an ABA therapist.
I love being a part of the students' lives. They are our greatest gifts, and I cherish the opportunity to help them grow, learn, and develop important life and Christian skills to flourish as students and children of God.
