I am so excited to be joining the QAS community! This year, I will be a 7th Grade Homeroom teacher, while also teaching Writing to 7th Grade, and Literature to 6th and 8th Grade. Working with children has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, I knew at a very young age that I was destined to become a teacher. Growing up, my mother and grandmother were both teachers and I was able to see early on that teaching was a profession that brought great joy and reward. I graduated from University of Missouri, St. Louis in 2014 and immediately began my teaching journey at an Independent School, City Academy. Here, my passion for teaching and inspiring young minds was fueled. I specialized in Third Grade ELA, and spent the last decade refining my skills for setting a solid foundation and a love for learning. I am eager to take this next step in my teaching journey at QAS. My family and I fell in love with this wonderful community of faith several years ago and our children continue to flourish in this loving environment. In our free time, my husband and I enjoy staying active with our little ones by taking bike rides, hiking, and swimming. I look forward to getting to know you and your children!
