My name Is Suzanne Pifer. I have been the Librarian and Discover (gifted) teacher at Queen of All Saints for fourteen years. We are proud to offer MakerSpace classes for our K-8th grade classes as well. I truly believe I have the best of both worlds at QAS. I interact with every student from Pre-K through eighth grade using Project / Problem Based Learning in both whole class Library/Makerspace classes, as well as small groups when working with 2nd-5th grade Discover students.
I obtained by Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State and attended Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville working on my Master of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. After living in both Houston and Dallas, I obtained a Master of Library Science degree from the University of North Texas. I was a Reference Librarian in Irving, Texas and Slidell, LA. Before moving back to St. Louis in 2005, my family and I also lived in Chicago, IL, Los Angels, CA, and another move to Dallas. It was upon my return to St. Louis that I received my Master of Science in Education and library certification.
My extracurricular activities include biking, gardening and of course READING! I love anything that has to do with lakes, beaches, and travel. I am a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church and grew up attending St. Simon the Apostle School. I have two wonderful children, Reid and Natalie who keep me very busy with all their various activities. I can be reached at: pifers@qasstl.org.
