INSERT PICTURE OF THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Dear Queen of All Saints Families,
Hello! It is with great pleasure that I am able to introduce myself to you. My name is Meghan Diven; I am the counselor of Queen of All Saints School for the 2015-2016 school year. I am a Clinical Therapist in the School Partnership Program of Catholic Family Services. I would like to take a moment to tell you a little about myself and the work I will be doing with Queen of All Saints children this year.
I graduated from Maryville University – St. Louis in 2010 with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology / Sociology and a minor in women’s studies. I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in family from Saint Louis University in 2012. I then worked as a therapeutic daycare teacher and child therapist. I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Missouri and currently working towards my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification. I enjoy using play therapy, CBT, and aspects of art and sand tray therapy. I joined Catholic Family Services this school year. With my free time, I love spending time with my family and dog. I also enjoy arts and crafts and reading.
This year at Queen of All Saints, I will be working as support for the students, teachers, and parents. I will be available to meet with children individually as well as in small group settings. I will also provide classroom presentations, particularly in character education. I will be collaborating and working together with the teachers, staff, and administration of Queen of All Saints. I look forward to also working closely with each of you and assisting in making this a great year for your child(ren).
Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. Prior to meeting with a student, I will need written consent from the parents or guardian as well as a completed Pediatric Symptom Checklist. Before a child can participate in a small group session, I will need written consent for group participation from the parents or guardian (permission slips have been attached again to this School Messenger email). I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child or if you would like for me to meet with your child.
I can be reached by voice message at 314-748-5700 or by email at mdiven@ccstl.org. I am happy to speak with you about your child’s needs and / or progress.
I am excited and looking forward to getting to know you as well as your child(ren) this school year.
God bless you,
Meghan Diven, MSW, LMSW
